Role & responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain Cloudera Manager and CDH/CDP clusters across on-prem and hybrid settings.
Monitor cluster health, troubleshoot issues, and perform capacity planning and performance tuning.
Implement security controls including Kerberos authentication, Sentry/Ranger policies, and encryption for compliance.
Manage backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability strategies.
Collaborate with data engineers and ETL teams to support ingestion pipelines (Informatica, Kafka) and processing frameworks (Spark, Hive).
Automate cluster operations using Ansible, shell scripts, and workflow orchestration tools.
Preferred candidate profile:
The Senior Cloudera Administrator will manage and optimize Cloudera-based big data platform, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across HDFS, Hive, Impala, and Spark clusters. This role involves implementing governance and compliance controls, supporting real-time and batch data processing, and enabling integration with data ingestion tools like Informatica and Kafka. The position also requires automation of cluster operations and readiness for hybrid cloud adoption.
