Key Responsibilities
Monitor the network using tools like SolarWinds/ITOM.
Troubleshoot basic issues with routers, switches, and WAN links.
Configure basic VLANs, trunk ports, and interfaces.
Handle incident tickets and escalate complex issues to L2/L3.
Support network device installation, health checks, backups, and documentation.
Coordinate with ISPs and vendor support (Cisco TAC, Juniper JTAC, Arista TAC).
Must-Have Skills
Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, OSI Model, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, Subnetting, STP
Basic Routing & Switching
Experience with Cisco IOS, Juniper Junos, and preferably Arista EOS
Basic knowledge of OSPF, BGP, EIGRP
Experience with NMS tools like SolarWinds or ITOM
Comfortable working in 247 NOC rotational shifts
