Position: Driver – Store & Material Movement

Reporting To: Store Manager / Production Manager

Job PurposeWe are looking for a responsible and experienced Driver – Store & Material Movement to support the Store and Production operations by ensuring the safe and timely movement of raw materials, components, finished goods, tools, documents, and other company materials between suppliers, company locations, stores, production departments, and other required locations.

The candidate will also support day-to-day Store activities such as loading, unloading, material shifting, identification, and proper handling of materials while following company safety and material-handling procedures.

Key Responsibilities1. Material Movement

- Safely transport raw materials, components, finished goods, tools, and other materials as instructed by the Store/Management team.
- Move materials between Stores, Production, Quality, Assembly and other departments as required.
- Ensure timely movement of materials without unnecessary delays.
- Handle materials carefully to avoid damage, loss, or mix-up.

2. Loading & Unloading

- Assist in loading and unloading materials from company vehicles and supplier/customer vehicles.
- Ensure materials are properly secured before transportation.
- Check the quantity and condition of materials during loading/unloading as per the instructions provided by the Store team.
- Follow safe material-handling practices while shifting heavy or sensitive materials.

3. Company Vehicle Responsibilities

- Drive company vehicles safely and responsibly.
- Conduct basic daily checks of the vehicle, including fuel, tyres, brakes, lights and other essential items.
- Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle.
- Report any vehicle breakdown, damage, accident, or maintenance requirement immediately.




- Ensure the vehicle's documents, insurance and other required records are available and valid.

4. Documentation

- Maintain vehicle movement records, delivery challans, material transfer documents and other documents as instructed.
- Obtain acknowledgement/signature wherever required for material delivery or transfer.
- Submit completed documents to the Store/concerned department on time.

5. Safety & Compliance

- Strictly follow company safety rules and traffic regulations.
- Use required PPE while working inside the factory/store area.
- Follow safe practices while handling heavy, fragile, or valuable materials.
- Do not carry unauthorized persons or materials in the company vehicle.
- Immediately report any unsafe condition, material damage, or accident to the concerned supervisor.

6. External Material Collection / Delivery

- Collect materials from suppliers, vendors, customers, transporters, or other company locations as instructed.
- Ensure materials received are handed over to the Store/concerned department along with the required documents.
- Support delivery of company materials to customers, suppliers, or other locations when required.

7.Required Qualifications & Experience

- Education: Minimum 10th Pass; 12th Pass preferred.
- Experience: 2–5 years of experience as a Driver, preferably in a manufacturing company, factory, warehouse, stores, or logistics environment.
- Valid driving licence applicable to the company vehicle.
- Valuable knowledge of local routes in Dombivali, Thane, Mumbai and nearby industrial areas.
- Basic understanding of material handling and loading/unloading.
- Ability to maintain basic vehicle and trip-related records.
