Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with experience in structural steel design, aluminium/glazing, facade, architectural structures, fabrication, or construction-related projects will be preferred. Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Estimation & Design Engineer with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in structural estimation, design, and proposal engineering. The candidate will be responsible for structural calculations, material selection, estimation, 3D modelling, fabrication drawings, and coordination with architects, clients, contractors, and internal teams. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of steel structures and structural design, with proficiency in AutoCAD, ETABS, STAAD.Pro, and 3D modelling tools.

The role requires a combination of technical expertise, commercial understanding, problem-solving ability, and effective communication skills. Key Responsibilities

Perform structural design and engineering calculations for steel structures and related applications.

Select appropriate and cost-effective materials, including steel box profiles, steel plate thickness, concrete grades, and composite materials, based on design requirements.

Carry out load calculations considering dead loads, live loads, wind loads, and seismic loads.

Develop and analyse 3D structural models using relevant structural analysis and design software.

Prepare 2D fabrication drawings, structural details, and design documentation.

Design and review steel structures, base plates,



anchor bolts, and structural connections.

Coordinate with architects, clients, contractors, and internal teams to understand project requirements and resolve technical issues.

Conduct site visits to villas, private residences, commercial spaces, and project sites to assess existing civil and structural conditions.

Identify suitable structural loading points and coordinate with architects regarding structural feasibility and design requirements.

Review architectural concepts and provide practical structural solutions that are safe, technically feasible, and cost-effective.

Prepare accurate estimates and proposals while ensuring alignment with project budgets and commercial requirements.

Explain technical concepts and structural requirements clearly to clients, architects, contractors, and non-technical stakeholders.

Identify design and execution challenges and develop effective solutions to ensure smooth project execution.

Ensure all structural designs and drawings comply with applicable design standards and codes.

Required

Qualifications

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Structural Engineering.

Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in Estimation, Proposal Engineering, Structural Design, or a related field.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of structural steel design and analysis.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.

Working knowledge of ETABS and STAAD.Pro.

Knowledge of 3D modelling and structural modelling tools.

Understanding of steel structures, base plate design, anchor bolts,



and structural connections.

Knowledge of structural load calculations, including dead load, live load, wind load, and seismic load.

Understanding of relevant structural design codes such as IS 800, IS Codes, ASTM, and Eurocode 3.

Strong technical and analytical skills.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.
