Backend Engineering Internship

We are looking for a Backend Engineering Intern who is passionate about building scalable web applications and solving real-world engineering challenges.

This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with experienced developers and product managers to build and enhance core modules of Songdew’s technology platform.

Successful interns may be offered a full-time Software Engineer position upon completion of the internship.

What You Will Work On

- Develop and maintain backend services using Python and Django
- Design and build RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications
- Work with MySQL and MongoDB databases for application development and optimization
- Implement caching mechanisms and performance enhancements
- Participate in designing scalable and secure system architecture
- Debug,



troubleshoot, and resolve production issues
- Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code
- Collaborate with product, design, and frontend teams to deliver features
- Participate in code reviews and engineering discussions

Skills We Are Looking ForMust Have
- Strong knowledge of Python
- Good understanding of Django Framework
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
- Familiarity with REST APIs
- Working knowledge of MySQL
- Understanding of MongoDB
- Familiarity with Git
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills
- At least one live project/website deployed (academic, freelance, personal, or internship project)

Good To Have
- Exposure to Redis , Memcached, or caching frameworks
- Knowledge of Docker
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
- Exposure to background jobs, queues, and distributed systems
- Experience with Linux environments

Eligibility
- B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines
- Final-year students, recent graduates, or candidates with up to 1 year of relevant experience
- Available for a minimum 6-month internship
