Role & responsibilities

- Plan and execute shift production as per the daily production schedule.

- Ensure achievement of production targets with optimum machine utilization.

- Monitor machine performance and minimize breakdowns and downtime.

- Supervise machine setters, operators, helpers, and line leaders.

- Allocate manpower according to production requirements.

- Conduct shift handover and takeover effectively.

- Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with quality standards.

- Control production rejection, scrap, and rework.

- Coordinate with the Quality department for in-process inspections.

- Ensure machine parameter settings are maintained as per SOPs.

- Coordinate with the Maintenance department for machine breakdowns and preventive maintenance.

- Ensure timely availability of raw materials, labels, and packing materials.

- Monitor cycle time, production efficiency, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

- Ensure proper startup and shutdown of machines during shift changes.

- Maintain production, rejection, downtime, and shift reports.

- Verify production data in ERP/MIS systems.

- Ensure implementation of 5S, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing practices.





- Enforce compliance with safety rules and mandatory PPE usage.

- Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained across the production floor.

- Conduct toolbox talks and shift briefings with operators.

- Train current operators on machine operation, quality, and safety procedures.

- Monitor employee attendance, discipline, and shift performance.

- Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions.

- Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions.

- Coordinate with PPC to meet production priorities and delivery schedules.

- Reduce material wastage and improve productivity.

- Ensure proper handling and identification of finished goods.

- Support implementation of CAPA for quality and process improvements.

- Escalate critical production, quality, or safety issues to the Production Manager.

- Participate in internal audits and customer audit preparations.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce manufacturing costs.
