As a Senior .NET Developer at Propel, you will design, build, and scale secure, high-performance web and microservices-based applications. You will take ownership of end-to-end development, collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to technical decision-making across enterprise-grade platforms. This role is ideal for experienced backend or full-stack engineers with strong cloud, database, and architecture fundamentals.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and deploy scalable web and data-driven applications using .NET (4.8+ / .NET 7+) and C#.
- Build secure and high-performance microservices following SOLID principles and design patterns.
- Support and enhance existing production systems.
- Deliver end-to-end solutions for moderate to complex projects independently and as part of a team.
- Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards and best practices.
- Write unit tests and create development-level test plans and scenarios.
- Review requirements and provide accurate effort estimates and delivery timelines.
- Prepare technical design documentation using enterprise-standard documentation tools.
- Deploy application artifacts across testing and production environments.
- Support system testing and resolve defects in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with multiple engineering teams to ensure consistent development practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.

What We’re Looking For

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.




- 5+ years of professional experience in .NET development.
- Strong hands-on experience with .NET Framework (4.8+) and .NET Core / .NET 7+.
- Proven experience designing and developing microservices-based architectures.
- Strong expertise in C#, SOLID principles, and enterprise design patterns.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2019 or above).
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Database design, data modeling, and performance tuning
- Advanced T-SQL queries (CTEs, Joins, Window Functions, Temp Tables, Dynamic SQL, Pivot/Unpivot)
- Query optimization, transactions, and SQL error handling
- Troubleshooting performance issues (deadlocks, blocking, indexing, expensive queries, DMV analysis)
- Experience working with Azure services such as Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, App Services, and Logic Apps.
- Experience developing responsive UI using Angular (v16+), HTML5, CSS3, and jQuery.
- Experience building and integrating APIs including REST, Web API, WCF, and Windows Services.
- Familiarity with Git-based source control systems.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum development methodologies.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn and adapt to current technologies quickly.

Preferred

- Experience with Power BI, Bootstrap, and Telerik Kendo UI.
- Knowledge of enterprise application architecture patterns.




- Exposure to container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience working in financial services or regulated domains.
- Background in consulting or client-facing delivery environments.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in distributed teams.
- Ability to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
