We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Developer to join a high-priority project with Ford. This role is ideal for a technically robust engineer with deep mainframe expertise who can also contribute across the broader software development lifecycle — from architecture and design to testing, deployment, and optimization. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to build reliable, secure, and high-performing enterprise systems.

What You'll Do

- Partner with customers and stakeholders to deeply understand use-cases, pain points, and requirements, championing user-centric solutions

- Design, develop, and deliver software using mainframe technologies alongside modern tools, frameworks, and agile methodologies

- Assess requirements and determine the most suitable technology stack, integration approach, and deployment strategy

- Create high-level software architecture that defines the structure, components, and interfaces of applications

- Collaborate with product owners, designers, and architects to align on solution design

- Define and implement software test strategies, guidelines, and best practices in line with industry standards

- Continuously optimize application performance and adopt new technologies to improve development efficiency

- Apply modern engineering practices — test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery

- Implement security best practices to protect user data, including encryption and anonymization





- Develop and maintain back-end applications, APIs, and microservices

- Evaluate and incorporate emerging technologies to strengthen solution delivery

What You Bring

- Strong hands-on experience with Mainframe Systems, including COBOL, JCL, and DB2

- Proven expertise in API development and microservices architecture

- Solid understanding of software architecture and design principles

- Practical knowledge of Agile, CI/CD, and Test-Driven Development (TDD)

- Comfort with version control systems and modern development practices

- Strong grounding in software testing and quality assurance

- 8–15 years of relevant professional experience

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹2,500,000.00 per year
