About the Role

We are looking for a mid-senior DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate our cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines. This role owns both the infrastructure and application layers end to end from provisioning and orchestration through to release, monitoring, and security and works closely with engineering, QA, and security teams to keep systems reliable, scalable, and secure.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment across multiple environments.
- Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi).
- Deploy, scale, and operate containerized workloads on Kubernetes (EKS/AKS/GKE), including Helm charts and cluster upgrades.
- Support the full application lifecycle — build, release, performance tuning, and troubleshooting — in partnership with development teams.
- Integrate security into the pipeline (DevSecOps): SAST/DAST scanning, image vulnerability scanning, secrets management, and IAM/least-privilege policies.
- Set up and maintain observability: logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, Datadog, or equivalent).
- Automate operational tasks via scripting (Python, Bash, or Go) to reduce manual toil.
- Own incident response and on-call rotations, including root cause analysis and post-incident reviews.
- Manage backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
- Monitor and optimize cloud spend (FinOps) across environments.
- Maintain documentation for infrastructure, runbooks, and deployment processes.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering roles.
- Strong hands-on expertise in AWS (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, EKS, RDS, Lambda); multi-cloud experience (Azure and/or GCP) strongly preferred.
- Solid, production-grade experience with Kubernetes and Docker — cluster administration, networking, and troubleshooting.




- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tooling: Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or ArgoCD/Flux (GitOps).
- Working knowledge of both infrastructure and application-side concerns — networking, storage, databases, as well as application deployment, debugging, and performance.
- Experience embedding security into infrastructure and pipelines: secrets management (Vault, AWS Secrets Manager), vulnerability scanning, IAM policy design, and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, etc.).
- Scripting/automation skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
- Strong Linux systems administration and networking fundamentals.
- Proficient with Git and collaborative version-control workflows.

Nice to Have

- Certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer/Solutions Architect, CKA/CKAD, or Azure/GCP equivalents.
- Experience with service mesh (Istio, Linkerd) and API gateways.
- Exposure to serverless architectures (Lambda, Cloud Functions).
- Experience mentoring junior engineers or leading small technical initiatives.
- Familiarity with compliance/audit processes in regulated environments.
- Exposure to data pipeline / big data tooling (Airflow, Spark, Databricks, Snowflake) is a plus, given our data engineering practice.
- Basic familiarity with MLOps/LLMOps concepts (model deployment, monitoring, versioning) is a plus.
- Awareness of regulated-industry considerations (HIPAA, GxP, 21 CFR Part 11) is a plus, given our life sciences client base.
- Comfort working across varied client environments and tech stacks, with strong client-facing communication, is a plus in a consulting setting.
- Familiarity with data observability/data quality tooling is a plus.

Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
