We are seeking an Android platform developer to port and validate custom security enhancements from an older Android release to Android 15 (AOSP) across different hardware platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing custom security features implemented on legacy Android middleware and map them to equivalent hooks in Android 15.
- Port and re-implement middleware-level security enhancements to the Android 15 framework, accounting for API changes, SELinux policy updates, and deprecated interfaces.
- Adapt and validate the implementation across all four SoC platforms, coordinating with BSP/vendor HAL differences (Qualcomm vs. MediaTek).
- Build, flash, and debug custom AOSP images.
- Work with device trees, Android.bp/Android.mk, and vendor-specific build configurations.
- Write and execute test cases to confirm feature parity and absence of security regression.
- Support integration and field-validation cycles.
- Document design decisions, porting deltas, and platform-specific caveats for client handover.
