- : We are looking for a Android Developer with strong experience in building robust mobile applications for RFID-enabled solutions. The role involves end-to-end Android application development, RFID hardware integration using OEM SDKs/APIs, EPC tag read/write operations, real-time data processing and synchronization, performance optimization, backend/API integration, user-friendly mobile interface development, troubleshooting, device testing, and deployment support across warehouse, retail, manufacturing, logistics, and industrial environments.
- Skills Required
- Android Application Development for RFID Solutions: Develop, maintain, and optimize Android applications integrated with UHF/HF RFID readers, handheld terminals, and barcode scanners.
- RFID Hardware Integration: Integrate RFID devices using OEM SDKs/APIs through Bluetooth, Serial, USB, or Wi-Fi communication protocols.
- RFID Tag Read/Write Operations: Implement EPC encoding, tag reading, tag writing, lock/kill operations, filtering, and bulk tag processing functionalities.
- Real-Time Data Processing Synchronization: Develop real-time inventory, asset tracking, attendance, logistics, or retail applications with server/database synchronization capabilities.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize RFID reading speed, accuracy, duplicate filtering, anti-collision handling, and battery performance for field operations.
- Backend API Integration: Integrate Android applications with REST APIs, ERP systems, cloud platforms, and databases such as MySQL, MSSQL, or Firebase.
- User Interface User Experience (UI/UX): Design user-friendly mobile interfaces suitable for warehouse, retail, manufacturing, and industrial environments.
- Troubleshooting Device Testing: Perform debugging, hardware testing, RFID performance validation, and field-level troubleshooting for different RFID scenarios.
- Knowledge of RFID Standards Technologies:
Understanding of EPC Gen2, GS1 standards, RFID frequencies (UHF/HF/NFC), tag memory structure, and RFID deployment concepts.
- Deployment, Documentation Support: Manage APK deployment, version control, technical documentation, client demonstrations, and post-deployment technical support.
- Technical/Functional Proficiency Required
- Experience: 5+ years of skilled experience in Android development, preferably in RFID-based, inventory, logistics, warehouse, retail, or industrial mobility solutions.
- Programming Languages: Strong expertise in Java and Kotlin .
- Android Tools: Strong working knowledge of Android Studio, Git, debugging tools, and APK deployment processes.
- RFID Standards: Good understanding of EPC Gen2, GS1 standards, RFID frequencies (UHF/HF/NFC), tag memory structure, and RFID deployment concepts.
- Device Integration: Hands-on experience with Zebra, Chainway, Newland, or similar RFID handhelds and barcode/RFID hybrid solutions.
- Database Backend: Experience integrating REST APIs, ERP systems, cloud platforms, and databases such as SQLite, Room, MySQL, MSSQL, or Firebase.
- UI/UX Performance: Ability to build user-friendly mobile interfaces and optimize application performance for rugged field usage and high-volume RFID scanning.
- Added Advantage: Knowledge of MQTT / Socket programming is an added advantage.
- Educational Qualifications
- BE/MCA/M Tech/B Tech
- Experience Level (If applicable)
- 5+ years of experience.
- Domain Knowledge: Previous experience in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Inventory Tracking, or Logistics or Retail.
- Cross-Device Compatibility: Experience managing application performance across a wide range of ruggedized industrial Android devices vs. consumer-grade smartphones.
- Leadership: Ability to mentor junior developers and provide technical direction for complex hardware-software projects.
