We are seeking a strategic and people-focused Manager of Engineering to establish, lead, and grow this organization. This leader will play a critical role in developing engineering capability, delivering project excellence, and creating a highly engaged and collaborative engineering culture that supports long-term business growth.

This is a unique opportunity to establish, lead, and scale a high-performing multi-disciplinary engineering organization that will play a critical role in supporting the continued growth of Jacobs' Electronics business in India and around the world.

The Prospect:

- The Manager of Engineering – India is responsible for the leadership, growth, utilization, and engineering delivery of the Electronics India engineering organization.
- The role combines organizational leadership, engineering delivery, workforce planning, talent development, utilization management, and global collaboration. The successful candidate will lead teams supporting both India-based project execution and global project delivery through our One Jacobs integrated engineering resource model.
- As a member of the Electronics Engineering Leadership Team, this individual will partner closely with global engineering leaders to ensure consistent engineering standards, effective resource sharing, leadership development, and delivery excellence across the organization.

Organizational Scope

- Leads the Electronics engineering organization in India.
- Initial organization of approximately 70 engineering professionals.
- Expected growth to 250+ engineering professionals over the next 3–5 years.
- Supports multidisciplinary semiconductor, advanced technology, and electronics projects.
- Leads geographically distributed teams located across multiple Indian Delhi NCR
- Supports both domestic India projects and global project delivery initiatives.
- Responsible for engineering delivery, utilization performance, workforce planning, organizational growth, and talent development.

Organizational Leadership

- Establish and lead the Electronics engineering organization in India.
- Develop and execute an organizational growth strategy aligned with Electronics business objectives.
- Build an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing engineering culture.
- Develop future engineering leaders and create a strong succession pipeline.
- Foster employee engagement, retention, and professional development.
- Ensure alignment with Jacobs values, leadership expectations, and safety culture.

Engineering Delivery





- Provide leadership and oversight for multidisciplinary engineering teams supporting semiconductor, advanced technology, and electronics projects.
- Ensure engineering deliverables meet expectations for quality, schedule, technical excellence, and client satisfaction.
- Drive consistent application of global engineering standards, design practices, and delivery methodologies.
- Support project teams in resolving complex technical, staffing, and execution challenges.
- Champion innovation, digital engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Global Engineering Integration

- Partner closely with global Electronics engineering leaders to align priorities, standards, and resource planning strategies.
- Facilitate resource sharing and workload balancing across global engineering teams.
- Ensure India engineering teams are fully integrated into the global Electronics delivery model.
- Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing across regions, disciplines, and project teams.
- Build strong working relationships across international offices and project teams to support successful global project delivery.

Workforce Planning and Utilization

- Own utilization performance across the India engineering organization.
- In collaboration with the global leadership team, develop workforce plans that support both current project demands and future growth.
- Balance staffing requirements across domestic India projects and global project support activities.
- Lead resource forecasting, hiring plans, and organizational capacity planning.
- Monitor operational performance metrics and implement actions to improve productivity and effectiveness.

Talent Acquisition and Development

- Lead recruiting efforts to build and expand engineering capabilities across India.
- Attract, develop, and retain high-performing engineering professionals.
- Mentor discipline managers and emerging leaders.
- Work with global discipline leaders to establish performance management and career development frameworks.
- Build a sustainable leadership pipeline to support long-term growth.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
- 20+ years of engineering design and project delivery experience.
- Significant leadership experience managing multidisciplinary engineering organizations.
- Demonstrated success building, scaling, and leading engineering teams.
- Experience managing engineering delivery, resource planning, and utilization performance.
- Experience working within globally distributed engineering organizations.




- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with international stakeholders, project teams, and leadership groups.
- Experience leading geographically dispersed teams and fostering a unified culture across multiple locations.
- Strong understanding of engineering project delivery and operational management.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Ability to influence across organizational, cultural, and geographic boundaries.

Ideally, You’ll Also Have

- Experience leading Global Capability Centers (GCCs), engineering centers of excellence, or global delivery organizations.
- Experience supporting semiconductor, advanced technology, electronics, or high-tech manufacturing projects.
- Experience establishing or expanding engineering operations in India.
- Experience leading organizational transformation or large-scale growth initiatives.
- Familiarity with digital engineering, BIM, automation, and emerging delivery technologies.
