Description
WSP India is currently seeking a Senior BIM Technician to join our Bridges Department, located at our Bengaluru office. This position will be responsible for producing detailed bridge and structural drawings for various Canadian projects, including bridges, LRT components, retaining walls, and other related structures. The successful candidate will be expected to handle multiple projects, guide the team members, and prioritize effectively and Passionate about bridges and eager to put CAD/BIM skills to good use.
The successful candidate will work within the Canadian GCC Bridge team will play a crucial role in our design and development process. Will work closely with our team of engineers to create detailed technical drawings and plans for a variety of bridge projects. Ability to use CAD/BIM software and understanding of bridge design principles will be essential to success in this role.
In addition to creating and revising detailed drawings,
you will also be responsible for collaborating with the engineering team to ensure that designs are accurate and comply with industry standards. Opportunities shall be provided to work on a wide range of projects, from small-scale bridge repairs to large-scale bridge constructions, allowing for to expand and refine the skills in the bridge discipline. To excel in this role, the candidate must have a robust understanding of BIM softwares, such as Revit, Open Bridge Modeler, AutoCAD and Microstation, and have a keen eye for detail
Responsibilities
- Work on project set up by agreeing drawing strategy, type and size of drawings and drawing numbering with project engineer, and suggesting methods of drawing production to ensure efficient methods of working
- Manage production of work, review and ensure it is carried out to specified WSP CAD/BIM standards, suggest revisions to standards as appropriate
- Use templates for CAD work and use CAD library items to assist design work
