? POSITION SUMMARY
The Principal Engineer – Electronics Simulation (EMI/EMC) is responsible for leading the development and implementation of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) simulation strategies across product development lifecycle.
The role drives simulation-driven design practices to improve first-pass certification success, reduce dependency on external testing, and accelerate product development timelines.
? KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
EMI/EMC Simulation & Analysis
- Perform advanced EMI/EMC simulations for:
- Radiated emissions and immunity
- Conducted emissions (power and signal lines)
- ESD, EFT, surge, and RF immunity scenarios
- Identify noise sources, coupling paths, and critical frequency bands early in design cycle

Simulation-Driven Product Development
- Integrate EMI/EMC simulation into:
- Concept and system architecture phase
- PCB design and layout reviews
- Design verification and validation workflows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams:
- PCB Design
- Power Electronics
- Mechanical / Thermal Engineering
Design Optimization & Root Cause Analysis
- Analyze simulation results and correlate with lab testing data
- Recommend design improvements:
- Filtering, shielding, and grounding techniques
- PCB layout and return path optimization
- Lead root cause analysis of EMI/EMC failures
Certification & Compliance Support
- Support compliance with global EMC standards:
- CISPR, IEC, FCC, CE
- Develop pre-compliance simulation strategies
- Work closely with certification labs to reduce test iterations
