About the role:
We’re looking for a Lead Platform Engineer who can drive initiatives that improve developer experience (DevEx), accelerate release cycles, and build scalable internal platforms.
This role is a hands-on engineering and strategy, with strong emphasis on building tools, frameworks, and platforms that directly impact developer velocity.
What you will do:
- Lead the Platform Engineering (Developer productivity) team, setting up the vision and execution roadmap.
- Design and build internal tools/platforms that optimize CI/CD, testing frameworks, and infrastructure automation.
- Drive adoption of cloud-native solutions (Kubernetes, AWS, ephemeral environments, service monitoring tools).
- Partner with engineering leaders to align developer experience initiatives with org-wide goals & OKRs.
- Champion best practices around continuous delivery, developer efficiency, and operational excellence.
- Evangelize team’s work internally (workshops, training, cross-team adoption) and externally (conferences, blogs, OSS).
- Mentor engineers, foster innovation,
and build a culture of experimentation & learning.
What you will need:
- 6+ years in software engineering with at least 2 years in platform/dev productivity roles.
- Strong expertise in Kubernetes, AWS, CI/CD pipelines, Spinnaker/Jenkins/ArgoCD, IaC.
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks, energetic test selection, code quality gates.
- Strong coding skills in Go, Python, or Java (Go preferred for tooling/frameworks).
- Experience designing ephemeral environments, monitoring/observability tools.
- Proven track record of leading small teams, mentoring engineers, and driving large-scale initiatives.
- A background in Google Summer of Code (GSoC) or any open-source software (OSS) contributions would be a huge plus. Alternatively, having built something really cool to solve a difficult pain point for engineers or anything that helped ship things faster for the company or the OSS community would also be
