THE DISCIPLINE LEADER ROLE
The following description, duties, person specification and terms apply to both Discipline Leader posts. Requirements specific to each discipline are given in the “Discipline Areas” section later
in this document.

The primary responsibilities of Discipline Leaders are to manage and oversee the organisation and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes of study so that students are provided with high-quality learning opportunities to enable them to achieve the programme learning outcomes. Discipline Leaders work with programme teams comprising module convenors, supported by programme administrators, to facilitate the design and delivery of cohesive programmes of study.
