We are currently looking for a Senior Application Engineer to join our Connected Gateway Team part of Global Tire Intelligence Solutions (GTIS).
The Team is responsible for the hardware, firmware and industrialization of IoT gateways, and to make sure of their successful integration with sensors in fleet vehicles.
You would cover all engineering needs for last mile delivery (consumer) vehicles and commercial trucks (tractors and trailers) of different Goodyear fleet solutions.
Your role as Senior Application Engineer would be to drive all the technical engineering needs in order to have the hardware successfully integrated and operated by the
business units.
- 7+ Years of experience in the design, testing of automotive systems and/or IoT device required.
- Practical experience in system debugging, root cause analysis.
- Experience in automotive hardware / system engineering (signal conditioning, data acquisition, data transmission, environmental testing and certifications) is an asset.
- Experience in data processing skills with scripting languages like Python or Matlab M.
- Experience in remote monitoring, HW KPIs, dashboarding
- Experience in hardware testing, environmental, electric, EMC testing
- Knowledge in automotive CAN bus, standard protocols like UDS, OBDII communication processing and decoding
- Knowledge in wireless data transmission system (LTE 4G, Bluetooth LE, Wifi...) as well as network protocols is an asset.
- Self-motivated, accepts difficult challenges and think out of the box. Adaptability & versatility are key.
- Enthusiastic team player, self-learning with interest in IoT, SDV and automotive world.
- Working experience with automotive development process: A-Spice / ISO26262 / Scrum.
