Responsibilities:
- Assist in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients presenting with acute and chronic orthopaedic conditions in the OPD, emergency department, and inpatient settings.
- Participate in the pre-operative evaluation and post-operative care of patients undergoing elective orthopaedic procedures.
- Perform and assist in surgical procedures including fracture fixation (internal and external), joint replacement (hip and knee), and arthroscopic surgeries under supervision.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records, including operative notes, progress reports, and follow-up documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams,
including physiotherapists, radiologists, and rehabilitation specialists, to ensure holistic patient care.
- Respond promptly to emergency orthopaedic cases, including trauma-related injuries, and assist in stabilizing patients.
- Stay updated on current clinical guidelines, surgical techniques, and advancements in orthopaedic medicine through continuous learning and participation in case discussions.
- Support teaching and training activities within the department, including assisting in resident and medical student education.
