The Civil Draftsman is responsible for preparing detailed architectural, civil and

structural drawings, layouts, plans, sections, and construction details using CAD

and BIM software. The role involves close coordination with civil engineers,

structural engineers and project teams to ensure drawings comply with project

specifications, applicable standards, and construction requirements. The Civil

Draftsman shall maintain accurate documentation, incorporate design revisions,

and support project delivery through high-quality drafting and detailing

Design and Drafting:

â Prepare and update architectural, civil and structural drawings,

including:

• Site layouts

• Grading plans, Earthworks

• Roads and drainage layouts

• Foundations

• Structural concrete and steel drawings

• General arrangement (GA) drawings

• As-built drawings

â Generate detailed plans, elevations, sections, and construction details.

â Develop 3D models and extract 2D drawings where required.

â Prepare reinforcement detailing and bar bending schedules (BBS) as

applicable.





â Ensure drawing consistency across multidisciplinary project deliverables

Technical Compliance:

â Review design inputs, engineering calculations, sketches, and

specifications received from engineers.

â Ensure all drawings comply with: Client requirements, Applicable IS

Codes, Industry standards and Project quality procedures

â Integrate comments from engineering reviews and client feedback into

final drawings.

Collaboration and Support:

â Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other team

members to resolve design issues and implement solutions.

â Provide technical information and ideas to support the engineering

team.

Documentation and Record Keeping:

â Maintain accurate records of design changes and follow document

control procedures.
