As the Deputy Manager for Tractor Assembly within the K2 Project at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, you will oversee the seamless running of day-to-day operations across multiple assembly shifts at a large-scale manufacturing facility. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing all aspects of tractor assembly operations, ensuring optimal productivity, adherence to budget constraints, and compliance with quality and safety standards, including OHSAS 18001 requirements.
- Implementing and monitoring Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities to enhance equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on process optimisation, cost efficiency, and environmental sustainability.
- Coordinating closely with cross-functional teams including sales, engineering, and quality assurance to align operational goals with broader business strategies.
- Managing workforce planning, recruitment, training, and performance appraisals for the operations team to build a motivated and competent workforce.
- Promoting a culture of safety, quality, and customer-centricity by enforcing strict compliance with safety protocols and advocating for zero-defect manufacturing practices.
- Utilising system resources efficiently to meet production schedules and deliver on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Overseeing stakeholder engagement, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration with internal and external partners to support production and business objectives.
