POSITION SUMMARY

Perform preventive maintenance of the major mechanical and life safety equipment at multiple properties within a geographic area. Drive from home base location to properties within area of responsibility to respond to service requests. Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual life safety inspections, where allowed by local jurisdiction. Act as a technical resource for locations regarding corrective, preventative, and/or routine repair and maintenance procedures and techniques. Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment to minimize downtime. Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed and within budgeted guidelines. Maintain a thorough log of each day’s activities and problems including documenting decisions and rationale for repairs and/or recommendations for replacements of major mechanical equipment. Act as a technical resource for locations regarding corrective, preventative, and/or routine repair and maintenance procedures and techniques such as, but not limited to: HVAC/refrigeration, kitchen equipment,



laundry equipment, electrical systems, boilers and hot water systems, and life safety systems. Conduct emergency work on HVAC, kitchen, laundry, or water systems outages.

Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; and properly store flammable materials. Assist management in training, counseling, inspiring, and coaching employees. Ensure uniform and personal appearances are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
