SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
As an Area Sales Manager, you will play a key role in growing Jotun’s Performance Coatings business by building solid relationships with new and existing customers and identifying opportunities to expand our market presence. By understanding customer needs and applying Jotun’s sales tools and best practices, you will drive sales performance, achieve gross margin and DSO targets, and contribute to profitable growth. Your ability to develop customer partnerships and deliver value-driven solutions will directly support business success, strengthen Jotun’s market position, and create long-term impact.
This position based at New Delhi and reporting to the Deputy General Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve sales targets by managing customer relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and supporting profitable business growth within assigned accounts and territories.
- Develop and implement account plans by understanding customer needs, prioritizing opportunities, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Manage and follow up on projects with customers, consultants, and contractors to ensure timely completion, resolve technical and commercial queries, and achieve optimal coating performance.
- Promote Jotun products and solutions through customer visits, presentations, specifications, and project follow-ups to generate new business opportunities and increase market share.
- Monitor project progress, sales performance, and customer collections to achieve sales objectives and agreed payment terms.
- Contribute to a collaborative and customer-focused culture by sharing market insights, supporting team goals, and role modelling Jotun's values and Penguin Spirit.
