Financial Controller to join our Finance Team within the Close & Control Hub in India. This role offers an exciting opportunity to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of reporting across GSK while gaining exposure to a agile, global biopharma environment, including leading a team and working closely with the business and other senior finance stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the successful implementation of SAP S/4HANA within the market by leading and overseeing Close & Control activities during the dual-run period, ensuring accurate financial reporting, process compliance and operational readiness.
- Partner closely with the central S/4 programme teams, Market Finance teams and the Close & Control Hub in Poznań to identify, resolve, and escalate issues, ensuring a smooth transition from legacy processes to the new operating model.
- Validate reporting outputs, controls, master data, and financial processes across both environments to ensure the integrity of financial information throughout the transformation.
- Drive continuous improvements in financial reporting processes by leveraging the latest digital tools, such as AI, Power BI and other advanced analytics solutions to enhance efficiency, accuracy and insights
- Ensure full compliance with IFRS, local statutory requirements, GSK accounting policies and SOX controls, maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity and governance.
- Provide technical accounting support and guidance on complex accounting matters, ensuring accurate application of accounting standards and timely resolution of reporting issues.
- Partner closely with Commercial, Supply Chain, Tax, Treasury, and Global Finance teams to ensure alignment on financial outcomes and reporting requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent professional experience
- 10 to 15 years’ experience in accounting, audit, or financial controlling
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principl
