We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure cloud infrastructure while ensuring compliance with modern security standards and best practices. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Cloud Security, extensive hands-on experience with Linode cloud infrastructure, and solid proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC). This role requires a strategic thinker who can build secure, scalable, and resilient cloud environments while collaborating with engineering, DevOps, and platform teams.
As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will be responsible for developing cloud security strategies, implementing automated security controls, identifying vulnerabilities, and ensuring that cloud-native applications and infrastructure remain protected against evolving cyber threats. You will also play a key role in driving security automation, governance,



and compliance initiatives across cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure cloud infrastructure on Linode.
- Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and best practices across engineering teams.
- Build and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate provisioning and security configurations.
- Implement identity and access management (IAM), network segmentation, encryption, and secure access controls.
- Perform cloud security architecture reviews and recommend improvements to strengthen infrastructure security.
- Continuously monitor cloud environments for vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and security threats.
- Develop automated security guardrails and integrate security checks into CI/CD pipelines.
- Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability management, and remediation planning.
