We are looking for an experienced Validation Engineer for Motor and Motor Controller Unit (MCU) validation activities for Electric Vehicle programs. The role involves component-level, system-level, and vehicle-level validation, test planning and execution, issue investigation, regulatory testing, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality, reliability, and compliance with automotive standards.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Plan and execute validation activities for Motors and Motor Controller Units at component, system, and vehicle levels.
- Conduct testing and qualification of powertrain systems in line with project requirements and validation plans.
- Report critical and non-critical issues to module leads and project cross-functional teams.
- Prepare, review, and release test reports, validation results, and DVP&R; documentation within agreed timelines.
- Participate in issue investigation and root cause analysis using tools such as 8D, FTA, and Why-Why Analysis.
- Plan and execute revalidation activities and track corrective actions for issue closure.
- Maintain and effectively utilize validation equipment, laboratory facilities, resources, and manpower.
- Execute regulatory and certification tests related to Motors and MCUs.
- Coordinate with external testing agencies for validation activities as per the approved test plan.
- Prepare test setups and instrumentation for CAN and analog data acquisition systems.
- Analyze validation data and support performance evaluation of Motor and MCU systems.
- Collaborate with design, software, and project teams to ensure timely resolution of validation concerns.

Qualifications
B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, or Automotive Engineering
General Requirements
- Knowledge of test automation using Python and CAPL scripting.
