SECTION II: ROLE SUMMARY (Purpose of the Role)
The Foreman/Supervisor/Engineer/Manager - Formwork – Site is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the formwork activities at the project site. The role ensures that all formwork systems are executed safely, accurately, and efficiently in alignment with project timelines, structural drawings, and quality standards. The incumbent supports the site team in formwork layout, erection, dismantling, material tracking, and productivity monitoring, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and cycle time benchmarks.
SECTION III: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Execute and supervise formwork operations for various structural elements such as columns, beams, slabs, and walls.
- Review and interpret formwork drawings and coordinate with structural teams for execution accuracy.
- Plan and allocate work fronts in coordination with project engineers and ensure formwork readiness as per construction schedule.
- Monitor formwork cycle times and labour productivity; escalate delays or bottlenecks with recommendations.
- Track daily usage, movement, and availability of formwork materials; support reuse and reconciliation efforts.
- Conduct inspections during erection and de-shuttering to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
