Role Overview
The Engineering Quality Lead is a hands-on software engineering leader responsible for improving product quality across the entire software development lifecycle. This role combines software development leadership, AI-assisted engineering, automation, and quality strategy to reduce production defects, improve engineering practices, and build a culture where quality is engineered into every release.
Unlike a traditional QA Lead or QA Manager,



this role focuses on preventing defects before they reach customers by combining software engineering expertise, AI-assisted development, intelligent automation, and engineering leadership.

What You'll Do
AI-Driven Engineering Quality
- Analyze Jira issues, incidents, support tickets, and production defects
- Use AI to trace issues to root causes in the codebase
- Review pull requests and production code using AI
- Identify recurring defect patterns
- Build defect taxonomies
- Recommend architectural improvements
- Identify technical debt
- Improve engineering practices
- Build engineering quality dashboards
- Create AI workflows that improve engineering effectiveness

AI-Powered Test Automation
- Generate Playwright tests using AI
- Review AI-generated tests
- Improve automation quality
- Generate API tests
- Generate integration tests
- Generate regression tests
- Generate edge-case tests
- Analyze production incidents and automatically gener
