About the Role
- Implement project-specific HSE plans, procedures, and safety management systems.
- Ensure compliance with applicable statutory regulations, client requirements, and company HSE standards.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits to identify unsafe conditions and practices.
- Monitor day-to-day construction activities to ensure secure execution of works.
- Supervise high-risk activities including:
- Work at height
- Lifting operations
- Hot works
- Confined space entry
- Excavation activities
- Electrical works
- Ensure availability and proper use of PPE by all site personnel.
- Conduct Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA/JSA) for construction activities.
- Implement and monitor Permit to Work (PTW) systems.
- Recommend preventive and corrective actions for identified risks.
- Conduct safety induction programs for new workers and staff.
- Organize toolbox talks, safety campaigns, mock drills, and awareness sessions.
- Promote safety culture and behavioral safety practices across the site.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses.
- Prepare incident investigation reports with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Maintain records of incidents, inspections, audits, and safety statistics.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, local labor laws, client HSE requirements, and project safety standards.
- Maintain all HSE documentation including:
- Safety inspection reports
- PTW records
- Training records
- Equipment inspection logs
- Emergency response plans
