We are currently seeking an experienced India Market Derivatives Trader to join our growing international Capital Markets and Credit Investment team in GIFT City, India. This is an exciting prospect to join a new and growing team at one of Canada’s largest asset managers.

THE OPPORTUNITY
The IMDT will be responsible for executing and managing BCI's India derivatives program, including Single Stock Futures, Total Return Swaps, collateral management, clearing oversight and regulatory compliance across both onshore India and GIFT City markets.

Based in the upcoming office in Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT), India's international financial services hub and reporting into the Senior Managing Director, DTI in London, the derivatives trader sits inside the Derivatives, Trading and Index portfolio management team.

The role requires extensive understanding and expertise in NSE and NSE IX market structure, Single Stock Futures, Index Futures, Total Return Swaps, Corporate actions processing,



Margin and collateral frameworks and FPI regulations. The IMDT will act as BCI's subject matter expert for India derivatives markets and market infrastructure and lead engagements with financial partners, custodians, clearing members, exchanges and service providers supporting India's derivatives ecosystem.

In addition, the IMDT will have extensive understanding of rules in relation to derivatives published by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA). Working standard and non-standard IN GIFT city office hours is mandatory. This role consists of rigorous screening and computation of derivative contract fair value and associated collateral data, OTC swap markets, local jurisdiction laws and analysis of single stock companies to identify corporate actions.
