Senior Civil Project Manager – Job Description

Job Summary:

A Senior Civil Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing civil engineering projects from inception to completion. This role includes planning, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and ensuring projects meet technical, regulatory, and safety standards. The Senior Civil Project Manager leads project teams, liaises with stakeholders, and ensures successful project delivery within scope, time, and budget constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Management:
- Develop project plans, including scope, budget, schedules, and resource allocation.
- Oversee the entire project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to contract requirements.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to define project objectives and deliverables.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring smooth execution.

Tender Processing & Management:
- Drawings and quantification studies for accuracy and approval.
- Review and approve Bill of Quantities (BOQ), specifications, and rate verification.




- Prepare Tender Documents based on tender drawings, quantities, BOQ, and specification sheets.
- Manage the floating of tender documents
- Quotes comparisons, negotiations, and contract management process.

Technical Oversight:
- Provide expertise in civil engineering principles and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards.
- Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and project evaluations.
- Review and approve engineering designs, specifications, and drawings.

Team Leadership & Coordination:
- Lead and mentor project teams, including engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
- Assign tasks and monitor progress to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Foster collaboration between internal teams, consultants, and government agencies.

Budgeting & Cost Control:
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
