1 Role (Designation) Azure DB/Synapse Developer
2 Required Skill Set • Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Azure Synapse Analytics (or ADB and ADF) to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into our data warehouse.
Data Modeling: Create and optimize data models within Azure Synapse to support analytical and reporting requirements.
• Query Optimization: Write effective SQL queries and optimize performance to ensure the responsiveness of data queries and reports.
• Data Integration: Integrate data from different sources, both on-premises and cloud, into Azure Synapse for a unified data view.
• Data Security: Implement and maintain data security measures, including encryption and access controls, to protect sensitive information.
• Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor data pipelines and performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure data availability and accuracy.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with data scientists, analysts,



and other stakeholders to understand their data requirements and provide solutions that meet their needs.
• Documentation: Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of data pipelines, data models, and processes.

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)
Must-Have • Experience with Azure data stack around ADF, ADB, Synapse, ADLSG2 etc.
• Proven experience in data engineering and analytics, with a focus on Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and data modeling.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and other Azure data services is a plus.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Azure certification(s) related to
