Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Building Services team in Mumbai. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who wants to leave their mark on some of the most exciting projects in the India and further afield.
Responsibilities
- Hands on design deliverables in electrical design typically in the Residential, Commercial and Hospitality sectors and leading a team of Engineers to deliver outcomes.
- Preparing and reviewing detailed calculations to validate design intent.
- Preparing and reviewing technical specifications and schedules and authoring design reports.
- Keeping our Leadership Team informed of significant and relevant service/design decisions taken on your Projects with a view to how they align with the Project Scope and Objectives.
- Embrace technologies to improve performance and sustainability to meet to net zero targets by 2030.
- Ensure projects are carried out to an excellent standard, within agreed deadlines and budget.
- Represent Buro Happold at meetings with clients, other professionals, and suppliers.
- Produce and review reports, presentations, models, and drawings to an excellent standard, high level of accuracy and in a timely manner.
- Prepare technical specifications and schedules, design development reports and innovative design solutions.
- Plan and manage input to Revit for production of design work.
- Actively engage with colleagues across disciplines, in group discussions and at events and seminars.
- Mentor more junior team members, potentially leading to an early line management role.
- Autonomously represents Buro Happold to clients, architects and collaborators.
Requirements
- 8-12 years experience in building services design engineering; A broad design knowledge from Concept to Tender Designing - through working on a wide range of projects using Indian codes.
- Domain expertise in codes and standards in your field.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A willingness to lead adoption of new analysis packages as required on your projects.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree BEng or master's degree MEng in a relevant discipline.
