Role Objective
The L3 role provides strategic, architectural, and engineering leadership for perimeter security. This role ensures security effectiveness, optimization, prevention of recurrence, and governance
alignment.

Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Engineering
• Own the design and architecture of perimeter security controls
• Define standards for:
o Firewall policies
o WAF security posture
o DDoS resilience
o Micro-segmentation strategy
• Lead onboarding and integration of current security tools

Advanced Incident Handling
• Lead major / critical incident investigations
• Approve and guide containment strategies
• Perform advanced forensic and deep-dive analysis
• Interface with OEM engineering teams

Optimization & Continuous Improvement
• Reduce false positives and alert noise
• Optimize rules, signatures, and policies
• Implement long-term corrective and preventive controls
• Improve SOC detection and response maturity

Governance, Risk & Compliance
• Support audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews
• Review AlgoSec risk, compliance, and policy governance
• Provide executive-level security insights and recommendations

Leadership & Mentorship
• Mentor L1 and L2 engineers
• Review SOPs and playbooks




• Drive SOC process maturity and best practices

Tools Ownership
• Firewalls: Cisco, Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet
• IDS / IPS: Trend Micro, Cisco
• DDoS: Radware, ISP-based solutions
• WAF: F5
• Proxy & Internet Gateways
• Micro Segmentation: GuardiCore
• Policy Governance: AlgoSec Firewall Analyzer

Skills & Qualifications
