Role PurposeAluminr manufactures bespoke architectural metalwork in brass, bronze and copper — every order is a one-off, built to approved shop drawings, with no stock replacement for a rejected leaf.

This role keeps production moving to schedule while ensuring nothing leaves the works that does not match the approved drawing, the approved sample and the client's expectation.

Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Control

- Inspect incoming metal, castings and hardware against specification; verify grade, gauge, dimensions and test certificates.
- Run stage-wise in-process checks at defined hold points — post-cutting, post-welding, pre- and post-finishing, pre-packing.
- Carry out final inspection and dispatch clearance against approved drawings, hardware schedules and finish samples.
- Maintain the NCR register, checklist library, master sample library and photographic QC records against each order number.

Finish & Texture Control

- Ensure consistency of brushed, satin, antique, patinated, PVD and lacquered finishes across all panels in an order.
- Verify every batch against the client-approved sample; quarantine variation before assembly.

Drawing Compliance





- Verify fabrication against approved shop drawings — cut sizes, joinery, reinforcement, hardware cut-outs, hinge/pivot centres, handle heights, clearances.
- Ensure only current drawing revisions are live on the floor; escalate ambiguities to the Technical Head before cutting metal.

Production Planning & Supervision

- Convert the order book into daily and weekly schedules aligned to committed dispatch dates.
- Issue job cards, track WIP stage-wise, allocate manpower and machine time.
- Flag bottlenecks and material shortages early; deputise for the Production Head in his absence.
- Monitor noble metal yield and maintain the offcut recovery register.

Hardware, Job-Work & Dispatch

- Mandate trial assembly / dry fit of doors and hardware before dispatch — operation, alignment, gaps, lock engagement — recorded with photographs.
- Inspect outsourced processes (casting, CNC, PVD, plating, glass) at vendor premises; maintain a vendor quality scorecard.
- Enforce packing standards for noble metal surfaces; verify packing list against BOM and hardware schedule; confirm crate marking and panel identification.

Systems, Safety & People

- Maintain all job status, QC, NCR and dispatch records in ops-central in real time.
- Provide production evidence supporting warranty documents, installation guides and client correspondence.
- Enforce PPE, 5S and shop floor discipline; maintain a craftsman skill matrix and conduct daily toolbox briefings.
