About the RoleCoolways Conditioning Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a technically strong and detail-oriented HVAC Design & Drafting Engineer / HVAC Draftsman to join our engineering team.

The role involves preparing accurate HVAC drawings and layouts for commercial, institutional, hospitality, healthcare, residential and other building projects.

The ideal candidate should have practical knowledge of HVAC systems, AutoCAD drafting, ducting, piping and equipment layouts, and should be capable of converting engineering requirements and architectural drawings into clear, execution-ready drawings.

- Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed HVAC layout and shop drawings using AutoCAD.
- Prepare layouts for VRF/VRV systems, AHU, FCU and chilled-water systems.
- Prepare ducting layouts, including supply, return, fresh-air and exhaust systems.
- Prepare chilled-water and refrigerant piping layouts.
- Prepare equipment layouts showing AHU, FCU, outdoor units, indoor units and associated services.
- Prepare ventilation and exhaust system drawings.
- Prepare kitchen ventilation and exhaust layouts where applicable.
- Read and interpret architectural, structural and MEP drawings.
- Coordinate HVAC drawings with architectural, electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting and structural services.
- Incorporate site requirements and prepare as-built drawings.
- Assist the engineering team in preparing BOQs.
- Revise drawings based on consultant,



architect and site-team comments.
- Maintain proper drawing standards, layer management, dimensions, annotations and revisions.
- Coordinate with site engineers to resolve drawing-related execution issues.
- Ensure drawings are accurate, practical and suitable for site execution.
- Maintain proper documentation and drawing revision control.

Required Technical SkillsMandatory:

- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD 2D.
- Good understanding of HVAC systems.
- Knowledge of ducting and HVAC piping layouts.
- Ability to read architectural and MEP drawings.
- Understanding of HVAC equipment and service clearances.
- Good understanding of drawing standards, dimensions and coordination.

Preferred:

- Experience with Revit MEP.
- Knowledge of BIM coordination.
- Experience with VRF/VRV systems.
- Experience with chilled-water systems.
- Knowledge of HVAC design calculations.
- Knowledge of duct sizing and pipe sizing.
- Experience preparing shop drawings and as-built drawings.

This is not a pure AutoCAD operator position.

The candidate should understand how HVAC systems are actually installed and coordinated on site, and should be able to prepare drawings that are practical for execution.
