Job Title Quality Engineer Reports To Operations Manager Position Summary The Quality Engineer is responsible for implementing monitoring and improving quality control systems and processes to ensure that products meet established standards of quality reliability and performance This role involves managing inspection activities coordinating third-party inspections maintaining calibration systems and supporting production and engineering teams to achieve compliance with customer and regulatory requirements Key Responsibilities 1 Quality Control and Inspection Train and guide Quality Inspectors on tool inspection record maintenance and calibration processes Coordinate and control Non-Destructive Examination NDE activities conducted by third-party inspectors including review of NDE procedures and reports Monitor performance of Quality Inspectors and third-party inspectors to ensure effective inspection and reporting Review inspection reports and approve final release of products Support production teams in First Article Inspections and customer product qualifications 2 Quality Documentation and System Management Review and ensure all quality documentation Material Handbook QMS Procedures Work Instructions and Inspection Forms are current and comply with latest applicable standards API ISO Review engineering drawings prior to release for manufacturing and servicing Review purchase orders to ensure quality and specification compliance 3 Calibration and Equipment Management Ensure proper accountability handling and storage of Monitoring and Measuring Equipment MME including customer gauges and process equipment Oversee calibration activities both internal by Quality Inspectors and external by certified agencies and maintain calibration records per applicable procedures 4 Supplier and Material Quality Evaluate and qualify current suppliers and subcontractors conduct periodic performance reviews Verify and review documents and reports received with purchased materials 5 Corrective and Preventive Actions Initiate and track Corrective and Preventive Actions CAPA for product defects and customer complaints Ensure effective communication of nonconformances to affected personnel and departments 6 Additional Responsibilities Support other assignments as directed by the Operations Manager Accountabilities Ensure quality control activities are carried out safely and effectively Confirm products conform to customer and quality requirements at all inspection stages Guarantee timely calibration and certification of all equipment Maintain proper preservation handling and traceability of MME Ensure timely issuance and maintenance of all quality documentation and records Required Education and Experience ITI Diploma Degree in Engineering Mechanical or related field preferred Minimum 2 years of experience in an engineering or manufacturing workshop environment Required Knowledge and Skills Incoming in-process and final inspection procedures Preparation and approval of Certificates of Conformance COC Maintenance of MME Master List and calibration records Internal calibration of ring gauges and review of calibration certificates Management of API gauge usage records Preparation of Special Process Qualification and Validation Certificates Inspection and registration of customer external provider tools gauges and fixtures Preparation of CAPA and supplier evaluation reports Working knowledge of API 7-1 7-2 Q1 and ISO 9001 requirements Strong analytical documentation and communication skills Training Requirements Awareness of API Spec Q1 and ISO 9001 standards API Spec 7-1 and 7-2 requirements Quality Plans and applicable Quality Procedures Machining Handbook and DS-1 Inspection Awareness Calibration and measurement awareness training Job Type Full-time Pay 20 000 00 - 30 000 00 per month Work Location In person
