Position Description Business Division CSM Agchem Department EHS Location Panoli Jambusar Position Title Manager- ETP RO MEE RKI Level Middle Management Reporting To Site Environment Head Position Purpose This role will be primarily responsible towards driving efficient waste treatment at the site through operation and maintenance of ETP RO MEE and RKI Strategic Responsibilities Efficiently and cost effective operation of ETP RO MEE RKI Formulate cost saving strategies for reducing waste disposal costs Implement new environmental initiatives in plant Operational Responsibilities Assist Site Environment Head in fulfilment of Operational and legal requirements in the plant Operation and maintenance of ETP RO MEE RKI Ensure optimum performance and output from the operations waste treatment plant Ensuring routine monitoring of stage-wise lead and lag indicators all unit operations of waste treatment facilities Ensuring ETP outlet parameters within discharge norms Working in close coordination with other team members towards best results from waste treatment facilities Supervise the jobs related all equipment and monitor their performance for optimum and safe operations Communication with superiors and carry out field actions accordingly Maintaining proper housekeeping in the plant area Trouble shooting and increasing the performance of Waste treatment equipment Implementation of management systems related to HSE in the function Hazardous waste management to meet the compliance requirement Compliance to procedures and Work Instructions Monthly tracking of waste treatment cost and preparation of MIS Ensuring plant operation cost within approved budget Implement the cost saving initiatives in the areas of ETP RO MEE RKI Implementation of all requirement related to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 in plant Ensuring timely receiving of waste effluent from manufacturing blocks for smooth production without any downtime Financial Responsibilities Monthly tracking of waste treatment cost and preparation of MIS Ensuring plant operation cost within approved budget People Responsibilities Ensure safety high productivity at the workplace Facilitate initiatives for training need identification and building requisite skills competencies through systematic training skill-upgradation initiatives for the team Actively drive in conjunction with the Senior Management Team the performance management process of the team Recognize reward excellent performers affirm key contributions of employees toward the achievement of goals objectives of the team Inspire motivate employees through demonstrated commitment to PI s values vision mission and active participation in various team engagement activities Education Qualification M Sc Environment BE Chemical Environment Work Experience 10-14 years in Environment Health and Safety department with specific experience of leading workplace and waste treatment team Industry to be Hired from Agro-Pharma-Fine-Chemicals Functional Competencies Sound knowledge in Operations trouble shooting of waste disposal processes and Pollution Control Equipment Sound knowledge and application skills of various national legislations in the field of EHS Knowledge ISO 14001 OHSAS-18001 Advanced analytical and Problem solving skills Identify problems at an early stage resolving them in an efficient manner Ability to effectively and efficiently handle Environmental issues within the plants Knowledge of new technologies in waste treatment Interaction Complexity and Team Work Interaction Frequency Purpose of Interaction Internal Site Head Head-Environment Management As and when required Discuss on Technical aspects administrative aspects compliance related requirement and system related issues External Legal authorities - GPCB Other statutory authorities As and when required Pollution control related legal issues
