The Accountant is responsible for managing and overseeing the financial and accounting operations within the Quick Service Restaurant QSR environment This includes ensuring accurate financial reporting maintaining accounting records managing accounts payable receivable reconciling statements and assisting with budgeting and financial analysis The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented familiar with restaurant industry financial practices and capable of handling rapid-paced high-volume transactions Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements Income Statement Balance Sheet Cash Flow Ensure timely and accurate closing of books at month-end and year-end Generate and review financial reports for management review and decision-making Accounts Payable Receivable Manage accounts payable AP including reviewing and processing invoices ensuring timely payments to vendors and maintaining supplier relationships Oversee accounts receivable AR ensuring accurate billing follow-up on outstanding invoices and working with customers on collections Reconciliations Reconcile bank statements credit card statements and petty cash on a regular basis Reconcile vendor and customer accounts resolving discrepancies as needed Inventory Cost Control Assist in tracking and controlling inventory costs Ensure accurate recording of inventory transactions and reconciliation of inventory balances Work with the operations team to analyze food cost labor cost and other operational expenses Payroll Processing Assist in processing payroll ensuring compliance with tax regulations and wage laws Track employee hours overtime and deductions and ensure timely payroll disbursements Budgeting Forecasting Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts Monitor financial performance against budget identifying and explaining variances Provide insights on cost-saving opportunities and profitability improvement Tax Compliance Prepare and submit sales tax filings VAT returns and other statutory tax filings on time Ensure compliance with local tax laws payroll taxes and business tax filings Internal Controls Auditing Support internal controls to safeguard financial assets and ensure accurate reporting Assist in preparation for internal and external audits ensuring proper documentation and audit trails General Ledger Maintenance Maintain and update the general ledger ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner Monitor journal entries and ensure proper accounting classifications Collaboration with Operations Team Work closely with the operations and management teams to support financial decision-making and provide financial insights for operational improvements Participate in regular meetings to discuss cost control initiatives and other financial matters Job Type Full-time Pay 20 000 00 - 27 000 00 per month
