About Us Samex India Private Limited SIPL is a large export house based in Mumbai Emperor Akbar is its flagship brand of green cardamom SIPL is the winner of the prestigious Largest Exporter of Green Cardamom by the Spices Board Ministry of Commerce Govt of India Known for delivering premium-quality cardamoms with rich aroma Emperor Akbar is the market leader in its segment especially across the MENA region including the UAE Iran Iraq Saudi Arabia and other Middle Eastern countries The company headquarters is located in Chembur Mumbai India and the processing unit operates from Cumbum Tamil Nadu India Position Summary The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the quality assurance and food safety programs within the food manufacturing facility The role ensures all products meet safety and quality standards comply with regulations and adhere to customer specifications The Quality Manager will also drive continuous improvement initiatives manage a team of quality assurance professionals and work cross-functionally with production R D and supply chain teams Key Responsibilities 1 Quality Management Systems QMS Develop implement and monitor the food safety and quality management systems in compliance with industry regulations e g ISO 22000 2018 FSMS Ensure adherence to all relevant quality standards certifications and regulatory requirements FDA USDA and local health authorities Maintain proper documentation and records related to quality control processes 2 Food Safety Compliance Conduct regular food safety audits and ensure corrective actions are taken as needed Lead internal and external audits including third-party audits and ensure timely resolution of non-conformances 3 Product Quality Assurance Implement testing and inspection protocols to monitor product quality from raw material to finished goods Review and analyze quality metrics including defect rates customer complaints and returns to identify areas for improvement Work closely with production teams to resolve quality issues and improve product consistency 4 Team Leadership Training Develop and implement performance improvement plans for the quality team as needed 5 Continuous Improvement Track and report on quality KPIs to senior management 6 Customer Supplier Relations Collaborate with suppliers to ensure raw materials meet quality standards Handle customer quality inquiries and complaints in a timely and effective manner coordinating corrective actions as needed Work closely with the product development team to ensure new products meet quality specifications 7 Documentation Reporting Prepare and submit regular reports on quality performance audit results and corrective actions Maintain accurate records for product traceability supplier approvals and quality metrics Review and update standard operating procedures SOPs related to quality assurance Qualifications Education Bachelor s degree in Food Science or a related field Certification in any quality systems preferred Experience Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management with at least 2 years in the food manufacturing industry Experience managing a quality assurance team and leading audits In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards FDA USDA FSMA BRC ISO 22000 etc Skills Strong understanding of food safety protocols and quality management systems Excellent leadership and communication skills Analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems Proficient in Google suites and Quality Management Software QMS Proficiency in Tamil Language is an added advantage Certifications Food safety certification is preferred Lead Auditor training for food safety and quality systems preferred Website - https www emperorakbar com Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 30 000 00 - 45 000 00 per month Advantages Health insurance Leave encashment Paid sick time Work Location In person
