Seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineering professional with strong domain expertise in large-scale urban water supply and wastewater treatment projects The role involves end-to-end mechanical design equipment selection engineering documentation specification development and technical support during DPR tendering and execution stages Key Responsibilities Lead mechanical design engineering for urban water supply and wastewater treatment systems including pumping stations WTPs STPs and associated mechanical facilities Selection and sizing of pumps valves pipes and allied mechanical equipment in line with project requirements and industry standards Preparation of technical specifications BOQs cost estimates and data sheets for all mechanical equipment Review comment and approve vendor drawings equipment GA technical submissions and engineering documents Provide technical inputs for Feasibility Studies Detailed Project Reports DPRs and Tender Documents for large-scale water sector infrastructure Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams Civil Electrical Process Instrumentation to ensure aligned and robust system design Assess field operational issues and provide technical support and troubleshooting guidance during project lifecycle Contribute to value engineering optimisation risk mitigation and cost efficiency in mechanical system design Required Skills Competencies Proven experience in mechanical design engineering for large water and wastewater infrastructure In-depth understanding of pumping hydraulics pipeline systems mechanical equipment sizing specifications Proficiency in engineering documentation vendor evaluation tender preparation and cost estimation Robust analytical ability and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently with a high sense of responsibility and ownership Excellent communication coordination and organizational planning skills
