Ford Finance has major expansion planned for 2025 onwards to enhance our banking capability with a modern technical solution that can not only handle existing products and services but also provide leading edge digital capability and operational efficiency with the tools to manage the business day-to-day to grow and innovate into the future The Software Engineer role will have overall responsibility of the lifecycle of the existing team backlog as well as adapting to changing market needs as the product is rolled out to a wider audience The role will also have opportunity to drive the establishment execution of required work to facilitate the Ford Finance expansion and transformation B E BTech in Computer Science with 8 yrs of Experience in software development with Java J2EE SpringBoot Microservices with knowledge of cloud platforms preferably GCP Experience piloting current technologies and designing implementation strategies Experience designing and implementing enterprise best practices regarding existing or new technology tooling Experience of senior responsibilities including Dev Code Reviews Change management Building technical roadmaps backlogs Exposure or experience in the following Skills and Techniques Agile PDO Ceremonies People Skills Coaching Coordination and logistical planning Business focused cascades of technical strategies and or roadmaps Experience using Test Driven Development TDD and Behaviour Driven Development BDD Experience of working to customer requirements coordinating delivery of quality code within an agreed time-box Strong prioritization co-ordination organizational and communication skills with ability to work in a large diverse team Demonstrated evidence of architecture practices Customer focused and strong team orientation Ability to work closely within an Agile and PDO team environment Self-starter and fast learner Strong drive for high quality performance and value adds results Demonstrated commitment to quality and delivery timing Ability to handle multiple assignments with minimal direction Ability to work in a highly regulated financial environment Willing to be versatile in terms of tasks and timings Code Quality Tools Fossa SonarQube Checkmarx Cycode 42Crunch Strong team leadership Mentorship code reviews support Proactive risk management Identifying and mitigating technical risks Delivery focus Meeting sprint goals high-quality code Positive team attitude Collaboration knowledge sharing Effective communication and ability to work in a large diverse team
