About the job Director - Assessments About The Role We are searching for a visionary and execution-focused Director of Assessments to spearhead the evolution of our award-winning ed-tech client s assessment product This pivotal role involves leading the design and execution of the company s assessment strategy to measurably improve student learning outcomes across Indian schools The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in academic assessments combined with a strategic product mindset aiming to build India s foremost assessment engine for schools You will be responsible for defining the product vision academic framework and technology roadmap for our assessment builder platform and offerings This requires a strong grasp of assessment science profound product thinking and strategic alignment of assessment practices with curricular goals Roles and Responsibilities a Product Leadership Own the product strategy for the assessment builder platform item bank test generator adaptive assessments analytics etc Define short and long-term product goals aligned to learning outcomes teacher needs and business objectives Collaborate with product managers and tech leads to ensure assessments are seamlessly embedded into the overall learning ecosystem b Assessment Strategy Innovation Develop a strong research-backed framework for diagnostic formative and summative assessments Drive innovation in instructional practices and assessments to create holistic and adaptive learning experiences Explore and integrate AI ML-driven capabilities such as auto-generating questions adaptive testing and automated grading to enhance assessment effectiveness and scalability Integrate global best practices in assessment and pedagogy to enhance student understanding and performance Ensure alignment with national and international curriculum standards CBSE ICSE NCF NEP etc c Data and Insights Work with the data science and tech teams to define meaningful learning metrics and dashboards Use data to iterate on assessment quality identify learning gaps and support personalized learning journeys d Stakeholder Management Collaborate with technology and product teams to create scalable tech-enabled academic solutions that leverage data-driven insights Engage with school leaders teachers and sales teams to understand assessment needs and improve adoption Manage external vendors and partners where needed Provide academic mentorship and capacity building across curriculum and pedagogy functions Experience and Qualifications 8- 10 years of experience in education development curriculum design and assessment innovation preferably in both for-profit and not-for-profit enterprises Demonstrated experience designing and implementing large-scale assessment platforms or products Solid academic background from a reputed institution Proven experience using technology to enhance educational delivery and data-driven decision making Comptencies Required a Functional Deep subject matter expertise in K-10 education across core subjects Strong foundation in assessment design curriculum alignment and learning measurement Ability to integrate technology into assessment and instruction Exposure to global education frameworks and best practices in pedagogy Awareness of how AI can transform assessment practices in K10 education b Role-Based Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication abilities Ability to work in fast-paced evolving environments and manage multiple priorities High levels of integrity cultural sensitivity adaptability and collaboration Passionate about transforming education and delivering impact at scale
