About the Role:

- We are building a world-class product from the ground up and are looking for a passionate Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Product Development Engineer I, you will play a key role in designing and developing highly scalable and robust backend systems that power our core platform. You'll work closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to bring ideas to life.

What You'll Do:

- Design and develop scalable, high-performance backend systems and microservices using Java
- Own the full backend development lifecycle: design, development, deployment, and monitoring
- Drive architecture decisions and contribute to building a modular, scalable product platform
- Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security
- Design and manage data models and interactions with relational and NoSQL databases
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code with a focus on quality and best practices
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers when required

What We're Looking For:





- 3–6 years of hands-on backend development experience with strong expertise in Java
- Deep understanding of System Design, Scalable Architecture, and Microservices
- Experience with RESTful APIs, distributed systems, and asynchronous processing
- Proficiency in working with databases like MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or similar
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, containerization tools like Docker, and cloud platforms such as AWS
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
- Robust communication and collaboration abilities

Good to Have:

- Experience working in early-stage product teams
- Familiarity with Kafka, Redis, or Elasticsearch
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and version control systems like Git
