Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Business Analysts and clients to gather and analyze user requirements
- Design enhancements and functionality to meet business needs
- Own functional processes across multiple business areas
- Facilitate problem-solving sessions with clients, operations, and project managers
- Perform SAP configuration to support recent and existing functionalities
- Conduct configuration reviews and resolve module-related issues
- Serve as functional integration owner across process areas
- Prepare and deliver functional specifications to ABAP developers
- Create Functional Design Documents (FDD) from Use Case Documents
- Write Detail Design Specifications based on Functional Specifications
- Develop high-quality solutions aligned with business requirements
- Review developer's Technical Design Documents (TDD) to ensure alignment with specs
- Review unit test plans and QA plans to validate requirements coverage
- Support developers and ensure timely completion of development work
- Perform code reviews and ensure consistency and quality
- Engage with users to determine optimal solutions for business problems
- Collaborate with ABAP and QA teams to develop and test functionality
- Conduct integration testing to ensure no adverse impact on existing systems
- Transfer knowledge to functional analysts to enhance team expertise
- Mentor junior SAP Functional Analysts
- Provide oversight and impact assessment across SAP projects
- Configure SAP Payroll and Time modules as per business needs
- Follow ASAP methodology and maintain change control standards
- Recommend improvements to current business processes
- Identify and discuss SAP solution options with stakeholders
- Manage SAP implementation phases: Blueprinting, Configuration, Testing, and Support
- Develop technical specs for enhancements
- Prepare business process documentation, test scenarios, user manuals
Required Experience & Skills:
- 10–15 years of SAP HCM experience, with deep focus on APJ Payroll & Time
- Experience in China, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, New Zealand, Thailand, Indonesia
- Experience in at least two additional APJ countries: Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, India
- Certified EC/ECP professional with regional payroll expertise
- Minimum 5 full lifecycle SAP implementations
- Knowledge of ESS/MSS, HRSP, and Time Module
- Expertise in SAP Payroll configuration (Gross to Net, Tax Reporter)
- Skilled in schema development and writing PCRs (Personnel Calculation Rules)
- Experience developing custom payroll functions and operations
- Familiar with year-end activities, support pack implementations
- 4–5 years of parallel payroll testing experience
- Strong background in multi-country compliance reporting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Education & Certification:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline with 8+ years of experience
- Master's degree in a relevant technical discipline with 6+ years of experience
