We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer 2 to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering with extensive experience in building and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure to support our data-driven decision-making processes.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support data ingestion and processing.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data needs and requirements.
- Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing robust validation and monitoring processes.
- Optimize data storage and retrieval processes for efficiency and performance.
- Work with cloud services and big data technologies to build and enhance data infrastructure.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
Skills and Qualifications
- 7-10 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
- Solid knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services.
- Programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala for data manipulation and processing.
- Understanding of data modeling and database design principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
