Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Process Engineering professional with strong expertise in SMT/WSM, Wave Soldering, NPI, Process Improvement, APQP, PFMEA and PPAP. The candidate will be responsible for process development, NPI programming, yield improvement, process validation, DFM and continuous improvement activities across electronics manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and manage SMT/WSM process programming and ensure timely completion of NPI programming.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of Wave Soldering processes.
- Conduct New Product feasibility studies considering machine capabilities, BOM components, process requirements and manufacturability.
- Actively participate in APQP activities and feasibility study teams.




- Validate machine parameters and process settings during prototype and NPI runs.
- Monitor NPI yield and implement corrective actions to improve yield and process performance.
- Verify all required technical and process documents before creating new programs.
- Coordinate Customer-Specific Requirements (CSR) implementation on the production line with the Project Engineering team.
- Lead Process PFMEA activities in coordination with cross-functional teams.
- Participate in PPAP activities and ensure process documentation is completed as per requirements.
- Monitor daily production yield and initiate corrective/preventive actions for low-yield areas.
- Monitor cycle time, line balancing and process capacity and drive improvements.
- Participate in daily production meetings to review production losses, yield and process-related issues and establish action plans.
- Plan and support installation, testing, operation, maintenance and repair of manufacturing facilities and equipment.
- Establish technical and process improvement objectives in line with organizational goals.
- Drive process engineering, process optimization and service improvement initiatives.
- Plan and execute NPI projects with appropriate process flow, documentation and timelines.
- Drive Kaizen,



continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives.
- Conduct DFM (Design for Manufacturing) studies and implement improvements in coordination with Project Engineering and other cross-functional teams.
- Identify process risks and implement robust solutions to improve quality, productivity and manufacturing efficiency.
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Project Engineering, Maintenance and other cross-functional teams to achieve project and production targets.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Solid knowledge of SMT/WSM manufacturing processes and programming.
- Good understanding of Wave Soldering processes.
- Hands-on experience in NPI and New Product Introduction activities.
- Knowledge of APQP, PFMEA, PPAP and DFM.
- Experience in yield improvement, cycle-time reduction and line balancing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and team-management capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education

- BE/B.Tech in Electronics / Electronics & Telecommunication / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Electronics manufacturing industry experience is preferred.

Experience

- 5-9 years of relevant experience in Process Engineering, preferably in PCB/PCBA or electronics manufacturing.
- Candidates with hands-on experience in SMT, WSM, Wave Soldering, NPI and Process Engineering will be preferred.
