Role & responsibilities

Senior AI Expert SAP & Business AI

You will become part of our global in-house IT team and help shape the digital future of BHS by designing, implementing, and scaling AI-powered business solutions. As an AI Expert, you will drive the adoption of Artificial Intelligence across our SAP landscape and collaborate with business departments to identify, develop, and deploy innovative AI use cases.

Taks:

- Identify, evaluate, and implement AI use cases across business processes with a strong focus on SAP
- Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered applications and intelligent business solutions
- Integrate AI services into SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and surrounding enterprise applications
- Develop AI assistants, copilots, intelligent automation, and business process enhancements
- Evaluate and implement SAP Business AI capabilities and AI services available on SAP BTP and Microsoft Azure
- Design and implement AI integrations using SAP AI Core, AI Foundation, Generative AI Hub, SAP Joule, and external LLMs where appropriate




- Develop APIs and integration scenarios connecting AI services with SAP and non-SAP systems
- Collaborate closely with business departments to translate business requirements into AI-driven solutions
- Support AI governance, security, and best practices within the enterprise
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and provide recommendations for future innovation
- Support and continuously improve productive AI applications

Profile:

- Bachelor Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
- 5+ years of professional experience in SAP development or SAP solution architecture
- Practical experience with Artificial Intelligence or Generative AI solutions
- Robust knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
- Experience with SAP AI Core, SAP AI Foundation, SAP Business AI, SAP Joule, or comparable SAP AI technologies
- Programming experience in one or more of the following technologies:

Python / ABAP OO / JavaScript / TypeScript / Node.js

- Experience with REST APIs, OData, and cloud-based integration concepts
- Experience with SAP Integration Suite is an advantage
- Knowledge of prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases, MCP, AI agents, or orchestration frameworks is a strong plus
- Experience with Azure AI Services or similar AI platforms is desirable
- Experience with Git, CI/CD, Jira, and Confluence is beneficial
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to business stakeholders
- Passion for innovation, continuous learning, and emerging AI technologies
- Excellent written and spoken English
