Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer - New Product Development to join our Engineering & Design team at our Head Office in Pune. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end new product planning, proto & pilot builds, NPD documentation, and development timeline tracking for heavy machinery/excavator projects, working in close collaboration with cross-functional and global teams.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

- New Product Planning & Execution: Lead and participate in the planning and execution phases of New Product Development (NPD) projects.
- Documentation & NPD Deliverables: Prepare NPD documentation for prototype and pilot build phases.
- Timeline & Process Management: Take ownership and accountability for development timelines, ensuring adherence to quality standards and milestones.
- Packaging & Component Design: Apply functional knowledge of excavator packaging, machinery layout, and structural/mechanical integration.
- Data & Process Management: Utilize Siemens NX (Unigraphics), Teamcenter (PLM), and SAP for CAD modeling, design data management, BOM creation, and workflow routing.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with global engineering teams, procurement,



manufacturing, and testing departments to ensure seamless project delivery.

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical & Functional Competencies (Must-Have):

- CAD & PLM Tools: Hands-on proficiency in Siemens NX (Unigraphics) and Teamcenter PLM.
- ERP System: Working experience in SAP.
- Domain Knowledge: Core understanding of New Product Development (NPD) workflows and design lifecycle.
- Product Knowledge: Basic knowledge/understanding of Excavator packaging, earthmoving, or heavy machinery equipment.
- Software: Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Candidate Profile

- Educational Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Work Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant engineering experience in NPD, machinery design, or heavy equipment development.
- Location: Pune (Head Office).
