WE ARE HIRING PURCHASE MANAGER (INTERNATIONAL SOURCING

Location: Chennai, India
Experience: Minimum 5 years

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating our international supplier base, particularly suppliers located in China, Indonesia, Vietnam, Japan and Taiwan.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end purchasing and sourcing activities with overseas suppliers.
• Handle supplier communication, negotiations and commercial discussions.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, MOQs, lead times and other commercial conditions.
• Issue and follow up Purchase Orders and ensure timely order execution.
• Closely monitor production schedules, shipment readiness and delivery commitments.
• Coordinate with suppliers on product specifications, samples, approvals and quality requirements.
• Work closely with internal Product, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality and Logistics teams.
• Identify potential supply delays, cost increases and other procurement risks and take corrective action.
• Develop and maintain strong long-term relationships with key suppliers.
• Identify and evaluate new suppliers and alternative sourcing opportunities.
• Conduct periodic supplier performance reviews covering price, quality, delivery and service levels.
• Maintain proper purchasing documentation,



supplier records, costing and management reports.

Candidate Requirements

- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in purchasing, procurement or international sourcing.
• Strong experience in dealing directly with overseas manufacturers and suppliers, preferably across China and other Asian markets.
• Good understanding of international purchasing, costing, lead times, production planning and shipment coordination.
• Robust commercial negotiation and supplier-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong analytical ability and proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.
• Ability to independently follow up multiple suppliers, products and orders simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel internationally for supplier visits, factory meetings and sourcing activities when required.

Preferred Profile

Candidates with experience in sports goods, footwear, apparel, consumer products or related manufacturing/sourcing industries will have an advantage.
