Job Title : Automation Test Engineer

Experience : 5-8 yrs.

OSI Digital is looking for a highly skilled Java Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in test automation, API testing, and automation framework development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Java, Selenium, Rest Assured, CI/CD integration, and SQL Server. Experience with Playwright and modern automation practices is highly preferred. You will work closely with cross-functional Agile teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software through scalable and maintainable automation solutions.

Reponsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reusable, and robust automation frameworks using Java,
- Develop and execute automated UI test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Playwright.
- Create and maintain API automation test scripts using Rest Assured.Perform manual testing for web applications and REST APIs whenever required.
- Design comprehensive test cases, test scenarios, and test data based on business requirements.Validate RESTful APIs, including authentication mechanisms such as OAuth, JWT, and API Keys.
- Perform database validation by writing complex SQL Server queries, joins, and data verification scripts.Integrate automation test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts during sprint planning, estimation, and test execution.
- Participate in code reviews, Git branching strategies, pull requests, and version control best practices.Analyze test failures, identify root causes, and work closely with development teams to resolve defects.




- Continuously enhance automation frameworks by adopting industry best practices and emerging technologies.
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and release activities.
- Prepare and share test execution reports, defect summaries, and quality metrics with stakeholders.

Required Skills:

- Strong experience in Java (Mandatory), with a solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), design patterns, and test automation framework development.
- Hands-on experience in UI automation using Selenium (Mandatory) and Playwright (Preferred).
- Hands-on experience in API automation using Rest Assured (Mandatory).
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, API testing strategies, authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, API Keys), and API validation techniques.
- Experience in manual testing of Web UI and APIs, including test design, defect analysis, and root cause investigation.
- Robust proficiency in SQL Server querying, including writing complex queries, joins, data validation, and test data management.
- Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and reusable automation frameworks using industry best practices.
- Hands-on experience with Git, branching strategies, pull requests, code reviews, and collaborative development practices.
- Experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Azure DevOps (Mandatory).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, sprint planning, estimation, test execution, and defect management.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex automation challenges.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
